Lectures, Judging and Speaking Engagements

Hoss is recognised as one of the most creative portrait photographers of his time, and is regularly called upon to judge at national and international qualification panels and competitions, and to give masterclasses and lectures to other photographers, as well as critiquing work to help other aspiring photographers.

He is an approved Mentor with the MPA, helping photographers improve their photography to achieve or advance their professional qualifications. He is also an approved judge on the MPA qualifications board.

2021 May – FIAP Photo Academy

Hoss Mahdavi of Hoss Photography Abbots Langley

The FIAP Photo Academy the most prestigious Photographic association in the world asked Hoss to conduct a virtual seminar for its world audience. It was titled 'An In Depth Look At The World Of HOSS'

There were photographers from countries including, India, Iran, Turkey Chile, the USA, Canada and most European countries.

Hoss was invited by The MPA to be one of the five Masters of Photography to photograph one model, at their National Awards event held at Jurys Inn Hinckley Island.

Hoss was also asked to judge on the Licentiate Qualifications Panel.

The MPA Central Region held a special meeting in Haddenham, where three Fellows of the MPA photographed three portraits to demonstrate their differing techniques.

Hoss was one of the photographer Fellows along with David Calvert and Paul Wilkinson.
