MPA Central Region Best Image of the Competition
The Regional Master Photographers Association held its print competition recently at the Pin Wei Restaurant in Abbots Langley, with International lecturer, photographer Ray Lowe FBIPP FMPA as the official judge.
The competition was fierce, with over 160 images entered, and many of the hopeful entrants turned out on the evening to enjoy a fabulous meal at the Pin Wei, before listening to an expert critique of their work from Ray. Having spent several hours pointing out missed opportunities, minor improvements, and complimenting good lighting and posing, he said, "These are the best set of images I have seen in a long while."
No wonder then that I felt incredibly proud when it was announced that I'd won in several categories - Pets, Fine Art, Fashion and Beauty, and the overall Best Image of the competition! Ray said of Hoss, "He's reached a point where his images are recognisable as 'A Hoss Image' - a class apart" So another win for us in the bag. I'm keeping the winning images under wraps for the time being, as I'll be entering them for the MPA National Awards in October.
